HDRswitch was originally a program that could automatically turn on HDR when detecting the launch of a specific game, and automatically turn off HDR when the game is closed. However, after more than a year of improvements, its capabilities have expanded beyond that. Now, HDRswitch can also automatically adjust the screen refresh rate and system volume when it detects the launch of a specific game or application.

Thanks to Codectory, which provided HDRController.dll in the AutoActions project on GitHub, making HDRswitch no longer dependent on simulating Xbox Game Bar shortcuts to toggle HDR. AutoActions is also a program that can automatically toggle HDR and change screen resolution for specific applications. If HDRswitch does not meet your needs, you might want to give AutoActions a try.
